Coldplay sings ‘Freefallin’ paying tribute to Tom Petty
Coldplay performed at The Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on Monday giving tribute to the lengendary Rockstar Tom Petty, among many other tributes. The show opened up with a minute’s silence for Tom, after which Coldplay alongside guitarist and co-founder of R.E.M Peter Buck – joined together to play Petty’s 1989 classic “Free Fallin” from his debut solo album “Full Moon Fever”.
Tom Petty died at 66 on Monday after suffering a full cardiac arrest. He was found unconscious and not breathing in his Malibu house and was taken into the UCLA Hospital where he was put in life support.
